The New York Jets are on the board.
After allowing a field goal to begin the second quarter, the Jets scored their first points of the game on a beautiful Kenyon Sadiq receiving touchdown, marking his first receiving touchdown in the NFL.
Geno Smith and the Jets marched 74 yards downfield on seven plays before the pretty Sadiq TD, which was also on a perfectly placed ball from Smith, capped it off.
Even with the absence of Mason Taylor, the Jets’ tight ends have played a significant role in the game so far. Aside from the Sadiq TD, Jeremy Ruckert has had several receptions, while Jelani Woods made a juggling 20-yard catch on the touchdown drive.

When Smith has time, he has consistently shown what he can do this season. He is a very accurate quarterback who can distribute the ball to multiple receivers and fit passes through tight windows, just like he did with Sadiq.
Unfortunately, the Jets could not hold on to the lead. A Jared Goff-to-Amon-Ra St. Brown touchdown haul near the end of the first half put Detroit up by a 10-7 score.
Detroit’s offense has already tested the defense with play-action looks and Jahmyr Gibbs, both through the ground and the air. The Jets’ defense has its hands full today, so scoring points on offense is crucial.
