Young Sam Darnold does not fit into the New York Jets top 10 of “Madden NFL 21” ratings, and it’s more disappointing than even that for fans.
Don’t look now, but those diehard GEQBUS Sam Darnold fans will want to turn away after taking a peek at his Madden NFL 21 rating.
The New York Jets young signal-caller will begin the video game’s life as a 73 overall, according to a source close with Jets X-Factor.
Earlier on Tuesday, Madden School released the top 10 rated players for each team in a potential early leak. Darnold did not make the top 10 which left fans wondering where he’d start the season.
A year ago, he started at 74. This brought on the idea maybe he’d be stuck in the high 70s, but obviously that’s not the case.
Other notable Jets ratings:
- Mekhi Becton: 72
- Blessuan Austin: 73
- Breshad Perriman: 75
- Connor McGovern: 74
- Quinnen Williams: 78
- Chris Herndon: 72
- Joe Flacco: 69
- Greg Van Roten: 68
Other notable #Jets Madden 21 ratings:
Sam Darnold: 73 (Believe he was 74 last year)
Mekhi Becton: 72
Bless Austin: 73 (Do not know his speed; he wanted 92+)
Breshad Perriman: 75
Connor McGovern: 74
Quinnen Williams: 78
Chris Herndon: 72
Joe Flacco: 69
Greg Van Roten: 68— Robby Sabo (@RobbySabo) July 14, 2020
Additionally, the only Jets “Superstar” on the roster is Jamal Adams. His “X-Factor” ability is “Reinforcer” and his “Superstar” abilities are “Enforcer” and “Flat Zone KO.”
A year ago, Le’Veon Bell and C.J. Mosley were also part of the “Superstar” group but the former was the only one to have the X-Factor abilities. (Both Adams and Mosley did not start the game with X-Factor status.)
This year, Adams will be the lone Superstar X-Factor while both Bell and Mosley dip in abilities and ratings for their respective disappointing 2019 campaigns.
EA Sports’ Madden NFL 21 is slated to be released on Aug. 25, 2020.
