The New York Jets receive a boost against the San Francisco 49ers with the news that Avery Williamson and La’Mical Perine are both active.
FLORHAM PARK, NJ—The New York Jets receive a nice shot in the arm courtesy of two questionable players who are now ready to roll.
Both Avery Williamson and La’Mical Perine are active for the Jets in Week 2.

Both have been limited in practice all week and were listed as questionable heading into Sunday morning. For the veteran Williamson, Sunday’s contest against the San Francisco 49ers will mark his first game action since he tore his ACL last preseason in Atlanta.
Although New York is thin at inside linebacker, the Perine news may just loom larger. Le’Veon Bell‘s current IR status means Frank Gore will start while Josh Adams and Kalen Ballage serve as depth. Perine’s presence could drastically alter Adam Gase’s running back plans.
For the Niners, the obvious injury news surrounds George Kittle. The sprained knee he sustained in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals will keep him out of this one.
