Adam Gase’s New York Jets offense cannot even escape its struggles in Madden right now, which means fans have no escape.
Not even EA Sports’ Madden franchise can serve as the escape for New York Jets fans.
Ranking dead last in the league in total offense, with a cool 265.5 yards per game, Adam Gase’s unit hasn’t been able to get anything going over the first two weeks of the season. Now, it seems to be translating over to the virtual world, via Reddit.
For Jets, even Madden isn't an escape right now. #TakeFlight pic.twitter.com/LBvLQuhCMS

As you can plainly see, quarterback Sam Darnold finds one of his receivers on the sideline (I can’t tell exactly who it is). But instead of catching and turning it upfield before going out of bounds, the receiver does a nice two-handed job behind his head.
Of course, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense snags it for six.
For the kids out there, this has to be a tough blow. The oft-glitchy Madden NFL 21 could have been an escape for some of the kids who watched their beloved Jets on Sunday. The routine is oftentimes to watch your team lose in real life only to get vengeance virtually.
This game may not be the best to set that exact matchup up with an eye on payback.
The real New York Jets are currently preparing for the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of NFL action. At 0-2, while equipped with the worst offense in the league, Adam Gase is hoping nothing that happens Sunday resembles what’s been seen in the glitchy Madden world.
Then again, who could have seen the Butt Fumble coming?
