Former New York sports radio king Mike Francesa challenges the New York Jets organization, labels it a “joke.”
Former New York sports radio king Mike Francesa couldn’t help but pile all over the New York Jets organization after their uninspiring performance against the Indianapolis Colts this past Sunday.
He said the “Jets have always been a joke” prior to hopping on the New York Giants ills.
Jets have always been a joke. But can't believe Giants ownership doesn't see it has been taken down a dead end. Wake up!

Forever a Sam Darnold fan, Francesa also dug into the idea that it’s impossible to evaluate the USC product, and that the team should make a change if they can’t beat the Denver Broncos Thursday night.
Impossible to defend Sam Darnold's current play. But equally impossible to evaluate a young QB, who has had a handful of starts, who is clearly in a leaderless, talentless, chaotic situation. He has manifested ability.

If Jets don't beat Denver Thursday night, I would make a change.

Many of the Jets’ greatest rivals are easy to spot. The New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins are the easy suspects to call out. Bill Belichick, Dan Marino, Don Shula and Tom Brady are others.
But once we step away from the field, the long-time WFAN afternoon host qualifies as a franchise rival.
Remember, during the Rex Ryan years, especially in 2009, Francesa constantly mixed it up with fans about the team’s end-of-season fortunes. The idea that Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts didn’t play to win the Week 16 game that ruined their perfect season not only helped the Jets move to 8-7 and eventually sneak into the playoffs, but it also made Francesa furious.
From there, the Francesa-Ryan relationship worsened. A live, on-air interview with Darrelle Revis was even cut short after Francesa challenged the stud corner on an interception he thought was defensive pass interference (but never called on the field).
The Jets-Francesa saga continues despite the fact the latter is no longer on-air. Some things never change.
