New York Jets’ Week 4 inactives: Jamison Crowder returns, Javelin Guidry debuts

The New York Jets’ Week 4 inactives reveal the fact that receiver Jamison Crowder is returning while Javelin Guidry is debuting.

Jamison Crowder returns to the New York Jets lineup while two rookies experience their first taste of NFL action.

The Jets inactives for Week 4 against the Denver Broncos at MetLife Stadium have been announced. Among those not dressing for this one are Nathan Shepherd, James Morgan, Marqui Christian and four injured players.

Crowder, 27, returns to the lineup after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury—the soft-tissue issue that’s plagued the roster since August. Against Buffalo in Week 1, Crowder caught seven balls for 115 yards and a touchdown.

The presence of Crowder should greatly help Sam Darnold. He needs him considering Breshad Perriman (ankle) will miss his second-consecutive game after leaving the San Francisco loss early.

Other injured Jets who will unavailable include Ashtyn Davis (groin), Jordan Willis (ankle) and Quincy Wilson (concussion).

The two Jets practice squad players who have been elevated for Week 4 are Lawrence Cager and Lamar Jackson, which means the latter will see his first taste of NFL action.

The other rookie set to make his debut in this one will be cornerback Javelin Guidry, who was signed to the active roster prior to the game. Receiver Jeff Smith, who was activated from IR earlier Thursday, will also make his season debut.

The Smith and Guidry speed dynamic can’t hurt things for one of the league’s worst teams at the moment.

The New York Jets and Denver Broncos are set to kick-off Thursday Night Football at 8:20 p.m. ET from MetLife Stadium.
