The New York Jets have activated rookies Denzel Mims and Cameron Clark, and also downgraded Jamison Crowder to doubtful.
Expect Breshad Perrimand, Braxton Berrios and rookie Denzel Mims to start at wide receiver for the New York Jets this Sunday. Just when everybody thought young Sam Darnold would finally have his full receiver arsenal for the first time in 2020, one guy couldn’t quite make it a full-go.
Jamison Crowder has been downgraded to doubtful with a groin injury. He joins left guard Alex Lewis and kicker Sam Ficken as the players who seem destined to miss the clash against the Buffalo Bills.

That’s the bad news. The good news is two rookies have been activated from IR.
The previously-mentioned Perriman and guard Cameron Clark have been activated from IR. The team also elevated kicker Sergio Castillo and linebacker Bryce Hager from the practice squad for this week’s contest.

Mims was tagged with the designated to return classification on Oct. 14, which means he’s been practicing with the team. He originally hit IR on Sept. 15 after injuring his other hamstring leading up to Week 1.
Mims suffered through a tough first training camp. A hamstring injury kept him on the sideline for the majority of August. Just when Darnold thought he was getting the rookie back, prior to Week 1, Mims injured his other hamstring.
Mims will make his professional debut this Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Clark was also designated to return from IR around the same time as Mims. He’s been dealing with a knee injury that forced him on the shelf.
Castillo was signed to the Jets’ practice squad on Oct. 14, which means the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Ficken’s right-groin issue will most likely provide Castillo his big shot.
Hager, selected by the then-St. Louis Rams in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft, will serve as depth to the inside-linebacker group.
