New York Jets legend Nick Mangold appears on “Let’s Make a Deal” Friday, which automatically means good, clean fun.
Need a personality? Need to fill up some stale space with excitement? Call Nick Mangold. He’ll deliver the objective and then some.
The former New York Jets center, a man who’s arguably the greatest offensive lineman in the organization’s history (although Winston Hill and Kevin Mawae would have something to say about that), appeared on Let’s Make a Deal Friday.
Mangold tweeted out host Wayne Brady’s introduction of him early Friday morning.

Mangold, 37, is a man who needs no introduction around these parts. The two-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection was part of a one-two offensive line punch with D’Brickashaw Ferguson that quite literally helped turn the Jets’ fortunes around.
Drafted in 2006, Mangold and Ferguson helped lead the surprising 10-6 Jets in Eric Mangini’s rookie head-coaching season. After two playoff-less campaigns, they spearheaded Rex Ryan’s ground and pound to two consecutive AFC championship game appearances.
The man’s football credentials are evident, but how would he fare in a game show environment?
The answer: not bad at all.
Mangold’s appearance coincided with a contestant winning Ford truck.

Mangold’s helmet No. 7 suggestion worked flawlessly for contestant Will, the No. 5 tip didn’t exactly work out. Although things got a bit interesting, Mangold’s appearance seemed to do the trick in the end.
Will continuously passed up Brady’s offer and kept hope alive until that final AFC helmet showed up. By the time it was all over, Will passed up $1,000 for the shot to win that truck.
Nick Mangold: the lucky charm.
