Even state politicians are now roasting the New York Jets
It really is just way too easy to roast the New York Jets.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul has become the latest to throw dirt on the green football team from Northern New Jersey. She used them as the butt of a joke about infrastructure during her speech at the Association for a Better New York at the Midtown Hilton in Manhattan.
“I know the Jets know a lot about infrastructure because they’ve been rebuilding for 50 years,” Hochul said, drawing laughter from the crowd, per Insider.
For those wondering why a New Yorker would go after the Jets like that, it’s worth noting Hochul is a native of Buffalo and a Bills fan.
Hochul attended the Buffalo Bills’ recent dismantling of Mike White and the Jets this past Sunday. So, to say the Jets were fresh on her mind is a fair assessment.

The Jets have not won a Super Bowl since 1969 (the 1968 NFL and AFL season) and fans are well aware of how bad the team has been.
One thing Gang Green has on Hochul and the Bills, though, is the fact that Buffalo has never even won one Super Bowl, and despite four straight appearances in 1991-1994, they lost each one.
The Jets face off against another division rival in the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon. Joe Flacco will start at quarterback, and with any luck, he’ll help give Jets fans a much-needed week off from the public torment.

If the Jets cannot get it done, the likes of SNY, media pundits and fans everywhere, and even state officials will keep on banging that predictable drum.
