New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson is taking it all in stride
Second-year New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson has been the talk of the NFL over the past few days after some juicy relationship drama sprung up around the Utah native. The BYU product’s ex-girlfriend made a wild accusation that has the football world up in arms.
Wilson had been silent on the matter until today, when he seemed to subtly reference the hysteria through an Instagram post.
Sharing photos of some workouts with his Jets teammates in Idaho, Wilson posted the caption, “Poor cell service…what I miss?”.

In Wilson’s photos, he can be seen alongside Jets teammates Garrett Wilson, Trevon Wesco, Joe Flacco, C.J. Uzomah, Braxton Berrios, Jeff Smith, and Elijah Moore.
A couple of players in that group posted about on social media about the Wilson drama in recent days, so it seems likely that they had spoken to Zach about it and gotten his permission to do so. Wilson definitely knows what’s been going on, making it a fair assumption that his caption is a reference to the hoopla.
Everyone in the locker room appears to have Wilson’s back, and the young quarterback looks to be taking it all in stride.
Such is the life of an NFL quarterback – especially one in the New York City market. Every detail about your personal life is going to be dissected. You can either let it crush your psyche, or you could laugh at it and continue going about your business.
The BYU product is becoming an expert at doing the latter.
Wilson and his Jets teammates were apparently not the only notable sports figures present in Idaho. “The Great One”, Wayne Gretzky, also made the trip.
