Despite the New York Jets’ last-second loss to the 9-2 Vikings, the Jets opened against the Buffalo Bills as 9.5-point road underdogs. The Bills, who are universally the Super Bowl favorite, beat the New England Patriots last Thursday night by a final score of 24-10.

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills moneyline

  • New York Jets: +330
  • Buffalo Bills: -420

The Jets are +330 on the moneyline, meaning a $100 bet would pay out $330 of profit.

At first look, there could be some value on the Jets here. They have already beaten the Bills with Zach Wilson, and you could make an argument they are much better off with Mike White starting at quarterback.

In his two starts this season, White has thrown for 684 yards with three passing touchdowns, two interceptions, and one rushing touchdown. White is not the athlete Wilson is, but the Jets’ passing offense is much more explosive with White under center.

Since the last matchup between these teams, the Bills have gone 3-1, beating the Browns, Lions, and Patriots while losing to the Minnesota Vikings. Buffalo is looking to hold on to the top seed in the AFC when they take on the Jets this week.

New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills over-under

  • New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills over-under: 44.5
  • Over: -110
  • Under: -110

This game features two of the best defenses in the NFL. In terms of points per game, the Bills rank 4th in the NFL allowing 17.4, while the Jets rank 6th allowing 18.6. Yards per game is not much different as New York ranks 4th in the league allowing 307 yards per game, and the Bills rank 10th at 320 yards.

A divisional game later in the season usually trends toward the under. In the Jets’ four divisional games this season, the under is 3-1. The only game going over the projected total was Week 5 at home against the Miami Dolphins.

The Bills have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. However, the Jets did a great job slowing them down in Week 9. Josh Allen completed only 52.9% of his passes for 205 yards while throwing two interceptions. The Jets’ defense gave up only 317 total yards in a complete effort by all three levels.

I think both defenses match up well with the opposing offense as I anticipate this game staying under the total.

New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills injuries

The Jets are healthy entering Week 14. Michael Carter should have a chance to play this week as he is day-to-day dealing with an ankle injury. Ashtyn Davis is still dealing with a hamstring injury that held him out last week. Everyone else who played last week finished the game according to Robert Saleh.

For Buffalo, Von Miller is still on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury on Thanksgiving day. Tackle Dion Dawkins missed last week with an ankle injury but everyone else should be a full participant this week.
