Did Breece Hall just express disapproval of Zeke-to-Jets rumors?

Breece Hall’s recent tweet seemed like a reaction to the rumors of Ezekiel Elliott considering the New York Jets

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott has narrowed down his list of potential teams to the Philadelphia Eagles, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Jets.

Only 32 minutes after Schefter’s tweet, Jets running back Breece Hall posted an interesting tweet (which has since been deleted) that many fans are interpreting as a possible response to the news of Elliott being considered by the Jets.

Tagging fellow Jets running back Michael Carter in his post, Hall tweeted, “I think we good over here [Michael Carter], [how about you?]”, accompanied by a yawning emoji.

Perhaps Hall was referring to something completely unrelated – we’ll never know. But Jets fans seem convinced that Hall is suggesting he feels the Jets are perfectly fine with the running backs they already have.

New York already inked another running back earlier today, re-upping with Ty Johnson on a one-year pact. Johnson’s return brings the total number of running backs on the roster to four, as he joins Hall, Carter, and Zonovan Knight. These are the same four running backs who led the team in carries last season.

Elliott is coming off a rough season that led to his release from the Dallas Cowboys. While he rushed for 12 touchdowns, he averaged a career-low 3.8 yards per carry and was consistently outperformed by teammate Tony Pollard. Elliott also posted career lows in yards per reception (5.4), receiving yards per game (6.1), and scrimmage yards per game (64.5).

Will Hall be ready for week 1? MC was nothing short of horrible last season, Ty is a spot player at best, and Bam is clearly not a bell cow. I think think the interest may be geared toward Hall not being ready. That said: Zeke is the LAST person I want, he’s slow, out of shape and not happy without the ball.

If Hall is ready, and MC gets his head out of the proverbial location, then yeah, they are set. This wouldn’t be an issue if MC was ready for last season in the first place. Can’t play like a** and then share yawns.

Listen, I don’t want Zeke here either, but players playing GM on social media isn’t good for anyone. It undermines our front office and decreases options.
STHU….Saleh et al need to get a grip on this…no posts about personnel issues!

Didn’t the Jets just re-sign Ty Johnson and Nick Bawden? Where would Elliott fit in with four running backs and a fullback on the roster? And where would the cap space come from? What position gets shorted so they can carry five running backs?
