Long considered a mortal enemy of New York Jets fans, Tom Brady’s recent comments show confidence in his old rival
Tom Brady has officially come to the light side. Well, not exactly, but it is one of the better things the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback has ever said about the New York Jets.
On his show “Let’s Go,” Brady expressed his thoughts on Aaron Rodgers‘s adjustment to New York and what that means for the Jets this year.

Brady’s comments on his old rival and contemporary are illuminating when understanding that Brady went through a very similar situation.
After spending most of his career in New England, Brady finished his career in Tampa Bay from 2020-23. The quarterback took his previous experiences, both positive and negative, and translated them into three playoff runs that included a Super Bowl victory.
“There’s a different energy about it. It’s a newness,” Brady said of joining a new team after spending a long time in one place. “It’s a fresh start to try to take where you’ve been, to bring all the good and then not bring the tough lessons, you know?”
Brady acknowledged the importance of a new situation when it comes to Rodgers and the Jets.
“He’ll be invigorated…I know he has been engaged in the offseason, which is always great, and really trying to connect with his teammates,” Brady said.
Brady also spoke about being “excited” about Rodgers and the Jets’ offense.
“They have a really good team. They have a really good offense,” Brady said. “Aaron’s been, when he’s got good receivers, man, it’s pretty dangerous…I think he’s gonna have a great year.”
It’s jarring to hear Brady speak so highly about a player on the Jets, but his comments have rang true so far. Rodgers looks more committed to mentoring younger players, specifically with Zach Wilson and Mekhi Becton. He also has worked to build a rapport with the entire team, allowing everyone to put their trust in him.
Now, Jets fans must hope that Brady’s prediction for Rodgers’s season is correct. If it is, it will be the first time Brady’s words have affected the Jets and their fanbase in a positive manner.
