Appearing on “The Michael Kay Show,” the legendary Jets quarterback went off on Zach Wilson and the organization as a whole.
Broadway Joe Namath has seen enough from the Zach Wilson-led New York Jets.
In an appearance on “The Michael Kay Show,” the legendary quarterback had some strong words for the Jets organization and Wilson.

Namath called Wilson’s performance “awful” and “disgusting”, saying he didn’t take anything positive out of his performance against New England. He also criticized the locker room’s supposed comfortability with Wilson.
Regarding Wilson, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback said he would get rid of the current Jets’ starter.
“I’ve seen enough of Zach Wilson. He has quick feet and can throw a little bit, but I don’t believe what is going on up there.” Namath also added that the Jets need to “get rid of a lot of people,” which included the coaching staff and Joe Douglas.
It is important to remember that the Jets are still very early in the season. There is little to no chance that Joe Douglas or Robert Saleh will be fired in the next few weeks, regardless of the team’s performance. As a result, Namath may be slightly over the top in his desire to see the organization’s leadership cleared out.
Yet, Namath is not off base with the message of his comments. The decision-makers in the Jets’ organization were content rolling with Zach Wilson as the backup, despite off-season comments saying the BYU product needed a complete reset. Their decisions in the off-season have contributed to the Jets’ current situation.
Douglas and the rest of the Jets organization can rectify their offseason mistake with Wilson by bringing in a veteran. While not likely, the addition could help salvage the team’s season.
If the Jets opt to continue with Wilson as the starter, though, Namath’s desire to see new leadership for the Jets may become a reality earlier than most people expected.
