Breece Hall, Greg Zuerlein honored for New York Jets’ win over Denver
Two New York Jets players are receiving accolades for their performances against the Denver Broncos.
Kicker Greg Zuerlein was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his play on Sunday. Zuerlein made all five of his field goal attempts, including one from 49 yards. He accounted for 17 points in the victory, hitting two extra points in addition to his field goals.

Running back Breece Hall won the FedEx Ground Player of the Week voting for a performance that saw him rack up 194 yards from scrimmage. Hall averaged 8.0 yards per carry and broke off a 72-yard touchdown run that gave the Jets a lead they would never relinquish.

It is not the first time Hall has won the honor in his career. In 2022, the Jets’ star running back won the award for his 116-yard performance in a victory against the Green Bay Packers.
Both Hall and Zuerlein are vital players for the Jets, and the awards they received only reinforce their impact. Zuerlien is 10 for 11 on field goals this season and has made all five of his extra points. After years of fluctuation at the Jets’ kicker position, the veteran has brought stability.
Hall is arguably the most important piece to the Jets’ offense, with only Aaron Rodgers, Garrett Wilson, and Alijah Vera-Tucker challenging him for that distinction. On just 54 rush attempts this season, the second-year running back already has 387 yards on 7.2 yards per attempt. Hall also is averaging 4.13 yards after contact per rush attempt and has contributed 59 receiving yards.
For the Jets to succeed going forward, they need Hall and Zuerlein to continue producing. If their production this past weekend is any indication of what’s to come, that should not be an issue for the Jets.
