New York Jets cornerback Bryce Hall had an inspiring message before the team’s Week 6 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles
The 2023 New York Jets seem like a team destined for the history books. Jets cornerback Bryce Hall‘s message to the team prior to their upset win over the Eagles in Week 6 will only add to the storyline.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), teammate Michael Carter II shared the inspirational message Hall said to his teammates prior to the game.
Due to the Jets’ lack of available cornerbacks, Carter recalls thinking, “Man, this all we got?” as the team sat in the locker room before the game. According to Carter, that is when Hall stepped up and said, “This is only going to make our story that much better when we win this thing.”
Wanna add to this. As we sat in the locker room before the game like man this all we got? B Hall says, this is only gonna make our story that much better when we win this thing. It was a great story indeed 🫡 @BryceHall11 https://t.co/1JadiTmDav

Carter alludes that the team wasn’t in a positive mindset before Hall’s message. And regardless of whether or not it made a difference in their confidence, the results spoke for themselves. The Jets secured their first win against the Eagles franchise and gave Philadelphia its first loss of the season.
Without star cornerbacks Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed, the Jets’ secondary was thrown into the fire. Carter and Tony Adams played new positions on defense, and did well.

Carter showed that he is more than just a nickel cornerback, playing well on the outside in his first opportunity to do so. Meanwhile, Adams had the game-sealing interception of Jalen Hurts in the fourth quarter. And as for Bryce Hall?
After securing the game-sealing fumble recovery for a touchdown against the Denver Broncos in Week 5, the Jets’ fourth-year cornerback was once again asked to start in Week 6. While he had some tackling struggles, Hall recorded another huge takeaway as he snagged an interception off Jalen Hurts early in the fourth quarter.
Hall has been a pleasant surprise stepping in for the injured Reed.
Can't ask for any more than this from Jermaine Johnson and Bryce Hall. Now offense has to capitalize. pic.twitter.com/CPWhQUhjOO

As for the Jets, they will head into their bye week at 3-3 in third place in the AFC East. Sauce Gardner, D.J. Reed, and Brandin Echols should all be able to return for the team’s Week 8 matchup against the struggling New York Giants.
