New York Jets fans were seen running back into the stadium after the Giants’ missed field goal.

The New York Jets were on the verge of a 3-4 record until a missed field goal brought them back from the brink of defeat. Many fans were seen leaving MetLife Stadium after Kayvon Thibodeaux’s sack of Zach Wilson with less than two minutes left in regulation. But it was Graham Gano’s missed field goal that saw them swarming back into MetLife.

In a matter of mere seconds, MetLife stadium went from a ghost town to pure chaos as fans scrambled to see how the end of regulation would unfold. And they wouldn’t be disappointed.

Gano’s missed field goal would set off an uncanny series of events that would see Zach Wilson lead the Jets into field goal range with one second left in regulation. From there, Greg Zuerlein hit the 35-yard attempt to send the game into overtime.

Suddenly, a game that saw 25 total punts had drama worth watching – something that’s been thematical with the Jets this season.

And, as we all know, once the game gets into overtime, anything can happen. Sure enough, the Jets would find themselves in a position to come out victorious as Zuerlein hit the game-winning 33-yard field goal.

In a game where even Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner thought the Jets were going to lose, the football gods had other plans. Instead of going into Week 9 at 3-4, the Jets are 4-3 heading into their Monday night matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
