Appearing on the “Rich Eisen Show,” the New York Jets’ star running back gave his thoughts about Aaron Rodgers returning this season

Add another believer in Aaron Rodgers‘s return to a growing list.

Appearing on the “Rich Eisen Show,” New York Jets running back Breece Hall expressed confidence about the prospect of Aaron Rodgers returning to the playing field this season.

“I don’t think there is any doubt. Obviously, we would love to have him back, but at the end of the day, that is up to him and his rehab process. We hope for the best that we will get him back, but he still has to go through it, just like I did…I’m excited to have him back, but it’s all on him.” Hall also stated that Rodgers is “too competitive” not to return this season.

Hall’s thoughts show that the possibility of an Aaron Rodgers return is playing a role in keeping the team on track. Rodgers is a future Hall-of-Fame quarterback, able to carry teams at his best and still provide above-average play otherwise.

For a team that has struggled offensively this season, getting Rodgers back would help them immensely. There would be fewer stacked boxes, allowing more running lanes for Hall. Weapons such as Garrett Wilson and Tyler Conklin would have more chances to make an impact in the passing game.

A Rodgers return, even if he was not at 100 percent, would give the Jets a chance to have a productive offense, defense, and special teams. This could help them find success later in the regular season or postseason, depending on when a return for Rodgers happened.

It is easy to see why Hall is confident in a Rodgers return. The quarterback seems ahead of schedule in his recovery and has already made great progress. In addition, Rodgers seems to have an unwavering goal to return to the Jets in 2023.

Whether or not that goal becomes a reality, it is currently powering both Rodgers and the Jets. With a little bit more success this season, the team can get even closer to making the return of Rodgers that Hall and the Jets envision actually happen.

It’d be interesting if Zach got them to the playoffs and then Rodgers, who hadn’t even practiced with the team, came in to replace him.
