The Jets and Bills play for AFC East survival
The New York Jets need this one in the worst way. The problem for Robert Saleh’s squad is simple: so do the Buffalo Bills.
Both teams are riding two-game losing streaks, which means AFC East survival is the undoubted backdrop for this Week 11 matchup.
Jets at Bills game info
- New York Jets (4-5)
- Buffalo Bills (5-5)
- 2023 NFL Week 11
- Sunday, Nov. 19, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS
- Highmark Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
Scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday, the time slot means CBS’s No. 1 broadcast team is set to call the game. Jim Nantz (hello, friends) and Tony Romo will be on the mic for the Jets and Bills’ second and final meeting of the 2023 season.
Interestingly, the Jets will wear their white road tops with green pants in Week 11—which is a rare uniform combo.

Jets at Bills history
- The Bills lead the all-time series 68-58
The Buffalo Bills lead the all-time series, 68-58, but the New York Jets did indeed take the last meeting. And it’s not hard to remember how that game went down.
Week 1 of this year saw Xavier Gipson return one to the house, in overtime, to give the Jets a walk-off victory. Sure, the Aaron Rodgers injury dampened the win a bit, but the win avenged the Mike White-led loss in Orchard Park late in the 2022 season.
In fact, the Jets have now taken two of the last three meetings. However, Buffalo came away the winner five times in the last seven meetings—stretching back to September 2020.
Jets at Bills odds (FanDuel Sportsbook)
- Spread: Jets +7 (-110), Bills -7 (-110)
- Moneyline: Jets +270, Bills -335
- Over/Under: 40.0 (O: -105, U: -115)
As the road team, the Jets are seven-point underdogs against the Bills. The only thing holding this line back from being more is just how much Buffalo is currently struggling.
Jets at Bills injury report
New York Jets
- Duane Brown, OL (Hip-Out)
- Sam Eguavoen, LB (Hip-Out)
- Chazz Surratt, LB (Ankle-Out)
- Billy Turner, OL (Finger-Out)
- Kenny Yeboah, TE (Hamstring-Out)
- Will McDonald, DE (Ankle-Questionable)
- Garrett Wilson, WR (Elbow-Questionable)
The greatest Jets’ injury question surrounds Garrett Wilson’s availability. Coming into the contest with a bum elbow, Wilson has told the media that he plans to play.
Elsewhere, the Jets will be a bit thin at certain positions, particularly linebacker, where Sam Eguavoen and Chazz Surratt will both be out. This will certainly open up a few special teams opportunities for others.
Buffalo Bills
- Jordan Phillips, DT (Knee-Questionable)
- Trent Sherfield, WR (Ankle-Questionable)
Other than the inactive IR list, the Bills injury situation looks quite healthy. Only Jordan Phillips and Trent Sherfield have injury designations in Week 11 (both are questionable).
Jets at Bills prediction
- New York Jets 10, Buffalo Bills 23
Much like last week in Vegas, until the Jets show any semblance of offensive risk-taking, there’s simply no way I’m picking them to win. It’s that simple.
Can they win the game? Of course, they can. They did just that at MetLife Stadium in Week 1.
However, in spite of some positive signs from Nathaniel Hackett and Zach Wilson early in the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders last Sunday night, the offense quickly reverted to a conservative style that does not fit today’s modern NFL.
Throw some undisciplined play on top of it—the absurdly horrid penalties—and no legitimate winning recipe is found.
