Speaking after the New York Jets’ loss to the Bills, star running back Breece Hall apologized to the team’s fanbase

Breece Hall is apologizing for the New York Jets’ recent offensive performances.

After the team’s 32-6 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the star running back spoke about the Jets’ offensive struggles despite his second-quarter touchdown to break the team’s 12-quarter drought without finding the end zone.

“Yeah, it was good. But we lost, so it does not matter at the end of the day… Offense, we’ve been putting this on film for ten or eleven weeks now, whatever the case may be. It’s frustrating, I don’t know what to say.”

Hall also said he is sorry to Jets fans and that “they don’t deserve this” regarding the team’s recent performances.

Hall was the best contributor to a Jets offense with only 155 yards from scrimmage. The running back only had 23 rushing yards, but he was the team’s leading receiver with 50 yards. Hall also had the only Jets’ touchdown, which came on a nine-yard screen pass.

Hall’s vitalness to the offense expands beyond the team’s most recent game.

The Iowa State product had the Jets’ last touchdown before the Buffalo game, coming on a 50-yard reception touchdown against the Giants. Hall has also contributed four of the team’s nine total touchdowns on the season.

Yet, Hall is one of the few players directly addressing the shortcomings of the Jets’ offense. He has shown leadership and accountability for their struggles, even if not personally responsible for them.

With their current offense, the Jets are not going anywhere fast. While Hall is the last player who should take responsibility for the team’s shortcomings, it is a small step in the right direction to see offensive players address their unit’s significant struggles.
