Robert Saleh said the All-22 would show why Nathaniel Hackett is sticking as the New York Jets’ offensive coordinator. Is he right?
The New York Jets continue stooping to new lows. With another single-digit scoring performance, this time at home against a previously 5-6 Falcons team, the Jets are now the least efficient NFL offense in the 21st century.
TruMedia's database goes back to 2000. There are 766 teams listed.

Jets fans continue to wonder why offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett is not being held accountable by the team for his role in the team’s struggles. After all, Hackett’s career as an offensive coordinator has not been very successful outside of the years when he was carried by Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur.
Jets head coach Robert Saleh continues to defend Hackett, and he points to the film as a reason why. Explaining why Hackett will retain play-calling duties, Saleh told the media after the Falcons game, “I guess you guys will have a better idea when you see the all-22 from this one.”

While the offense continues to sputter, the film reveals many positive signs on the defensive side of the ball. These topics are also covered in the film review, alongside the offensive questions.
- What traits allow the Jets’ cornerback trio to play at such a high level?
- What technical improvements have led to Jermaine Johnson’s breakout?
- Does Jordan Whitehead hold back the Jets’ defense?
- What is Hackett’s role in the Jets’ offensive struggles?
- How are the Jets’ young offensive linemen doing? (Tippmann, Warren, Becton)
- Has there been any promise shown by the young receivers?
All of this and much more is discussed in this week’s edition of Blewettโs Blitz.
