Jason Brownlee hit paydirt as the New York Jets cashed in on a blocked punt

Jason Brownlee is making an instant impact for the New York Jets on Sunday.

After a blocked punt from standout defensive end Jermaine Johnson, quarterback Trevor Siemian found the rookie wideout for his first career touchdown. Siemian recognized a Cover 0 blitz and found his hot route for the walk-in score.

Brownlee’s score extended the Jets’ lead to double digits and was only the second offensive touchdown scored by the team in the first quarter this season.

The Jets have dominated in all facets of the game so far on Sunday, giving Washington’s offense no room to operate and moving the ball very well on the opposing defense. If the team can continue their performance, New York may be able to have a rare dominant showing in an otherwise lost season.
