With the New York Jets‘ season over, their players now have more time to take in other sports. A contingent from their offense decided to take in New York at an Islanders game.

Breece Hall was the chief attendee, along with several offensive linemen and tight end Jeremy Ruckert, another one of his blockers. The most recognizable lineman was Alijah Vera-Tucker, the Jets’ Pro Bowl-caliber lineman who went down for the season in Denver for the second consecutive year. Max Mitchell joined Chris Glaser and Xavier Newman, two practice squad players who were forced to take on prominent roles due to the persistent injuries along the line.

Despite the Jets’ disappointing season, Hall has much to celebrate personally. He stayed healthy for the entire season after much of his rookie year was wiped out by a torn ACL. He finished the season with over 1,500 scrimmage yards and narrowly missed rushing for over 1,000 yards, falling just short at 993.

Of course, the UBS Arena scoreboard did not fail to notice the New York sports figures in the crowd’s midst.

Taking in New York sports affairs has become an annual tradition for Jets players during the offseason. From the Rangers’ playoff run in 2022 to Aaron Rodgers’ jaunt at Madison Square Garden last offseason, the oldest hockey team in New York has often been the most popular destination. Still, Hall and his fellow offensive players decided to take in a crosstown-rival Islanders contest against the 26-11-3 Vancouver Canucks.

The Islanders trail after two periods, 4-1.
