  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions: -6
  • Kansas City Chiefs @ Buffalo Bills: -3

The best bet: Kansas City Chiefs (+3)

The Buffalo Bills started the season 6-6 and were on the outside looking in on the playoff picture. Six wins later, they are hosting a game in the Divisional round.

The Bills are the hottest team in the league right now and finally get to host Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. Both offenses certainly steal the headlines in this game but I want to focus on their defenses.

The Bills’ unit is extremely banged up right now. Buffalo will be without Taylor Rapp, Baylon Spector, and Christian Bedford on defense in addition to the many key pieces already on injured reserve, including Matt Milano, Tre’Davious White, and Jordan Phillips.

The Chiefs’ defense has quietly been playing better than their offense. In their last six games, the Chiefs have only allowed 15.5 points per game, including only seven to the Miami Dolphins last weekend. I think the Chiefs match up well with the Bills, who are so explosive through the air. Kansas City allowed the fourth-fewest passing yards in the regular season and finished second in sacks.

I also anticipate the Bills being a heavy public team this week as the sportsbooks will need the Chiefs to win this one. Take Kansas City with the three points.
