At the Pro Bowl Games in Orlando, the New York Jets’ star cornerback is building a friendly rivalry with Stefon Diggs’s nephew
The Pro Bowl Games are about having fun, and one New York Jets player seems to be having plenty of it.
Cornerback Sauce Gardner, who is a two-time All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection, had some friendly banter with Aaiden Diggs, who is the nephew of Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

Aaiden said Gardner trash-talked his uncle and got scored on in Week 1 (even though the touchdown was scored on fellow Jets cornerback Michael Carter II), Gardner played along with Aaiden and said Diggs scored on him in the game. He also said, “Your uncle is good at football” to Aaiden.
To continue their bitter rivalry, Aaiden lined up across from Gardner as a receiver. The Jets’ cornerback asked Aaiden if he was scared, to which the young Diggs said no. Aaiden beat Gardner off the line but had the pass go over his leaping arms in the end zone. Gardner then did a signature secondary player celebration, the seatbelt strap, with Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton.

In all seriousness, the banter between Aaiden Diggs and Gardner highlights what the Pro Bowl is about now. It is a relaxing week for players who have had a long season and just want to enjoy themselves. Gardner, along with the other players on the AFC team, are having fun interacting with each other in a low-stress environment.
Between interactions like the one Gardner had and the unique competitive aspects brought on by games like dodgeball, the Pro Bowl Games offer a unique opportunity to have players’ personalities shine through in ways that are not seen during the season.
