The “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star had some words for his fellow New York Jets fans
Growing up in Mount Vernon, New York, comedian and actor J.B. Smoove is a longtime fan of the New York Jets. You might remember that he hosted the team’s uniform unveiling ceremony in 2019. Who knows? Perhaps he will return for the 2024 event.
Posting a video through the Cool Your Jets account on Twitter (co-hosted by yours truly), Smoove delivered a message of optimism to his fellow Jets faithful.

“What up guys, J.B. Smoove, as you know I’m a big Jets fan. Looking forward to big things for this season coming up. A lot of great pieces here. Let’s keep our heads now. I know the season didn’t start off well last year. But there’s hope. We got a lot of great guys on that team who are working, they’re going to gel together. And by the time your boy Aaron gets back, we’re going to be ready. We’re going to get right, don’t worry. NYC all day!”

Smoove’s message is one that Jets fans should take to heart.
It’s a tough time to be a fan of the team. There’s no denying that. Thirteen consecutive non-playoff seasons can take their toll, and Aaron Rodgers’ injury at the start of the 2023 season was a heartbreaker of the highest order. With all of that said, we ultimately choose to watch sports for one reason: to have fun. At the end of the day, the fans’ mood does not affect what happens on the field, so why not be eternally optimistic and hopeful?
Hey, that’s how I see it, and J.B. Smoove seems to agree. Jets fans, try to keep the faith as best you can.
