The New York Jets appear to be turning back the clock with their new logo
The New York Jets are undergoing a rebrand this offseason – both on and off the field. Not only has the offense seen an overhaul through the additions of players like Tyron Smith and Mike Williams, but the team is also preparing to unveil new uniforms and a new logo.
While those unveilings are yet to occur, Jets fans have a good idea of what the uniforms are going to look like. The Jets have already stated that the rebrand will be based on the 1980s throwback uniforms they wore in their 2023 games against the Bills and Chiefs.
The appearance of the uniforms is hardly in doubt, but the team’s new official logo has been somewhat in question. While the standard 1980s helmet logo seemed like an easy odds-on favorite, the Jets could have possibly tried a new modernized take on it, or perhaps placed it inside an oval as they did for their midfield logo against Buffalo and Kansas City.
It appears the uncertainty about the team’s new logo has come to an end. According to a leaked screenshot from the Fanatics website that featured an advertisement of the Jets draft caps (which have been officially launched for all teams except the Jets and Texans, the two teams have yet to reveal new rebrands), the Jets appear to be going with the standard 1980s logo, featuring no noticeable changes.

And here is the Jets on-stage graphite draft cap. We already knew it was coming but nice to see that wordmark.
Also not yet available for purchase and no sign of the team color version (although it shouldn't be a mystery). pic.twitter.com/mMpffeKZo3

The cap logo features a green drop shadow, but that’s a feature seen on all caps around the league. Therefore, it appears the logo will remain as-is with no changes, barring subtleties that we cannot see yet until the official announcement.
