The New York Jets are steadily filling their roster needs

New edge rusher for the New York Jets? Check.

That’s been a common theme of the offseason for Joe Douglas so far: systematically going through the team’s biggest holes and filling them with quality players. Edge rusher was not a need many Jets fans focused on, but Douglas and Robert Saleh felt that they needed another starter-quality player in their rotation. They acquired one in Haason Reddick while giving up only a modest return.

The trade for Reddick turns attention to the Jets’ other needs. We’ve talked about them several times, but the calculus shifts slightly every time the team makes another move. In this episode of The Score Boord Podcast, we’ll go through the ins and outs of the Reddick deal as well as what it means for the remainder of free agency and the draft.

  • How does Will McDonald fit into the Jets’ edge rusher equation?
  • What other positions should the Jets fill in free agency rather than waiting for the draft?
  • How can they preclude the need to select a tackle in the first round?
  • Which players are worth trading up for, and which aren’t?
  • How can the Jets convince the national media (and their fans) to pick the over on their 9.5-win over/under at ESPNBet?
  • Which Jets player am I most excited to watch this season?
