At the team’s media day, New York Jets running back Breece Hall had a funny uniform suggestion for Tyron Smith

One day before the start of minicamp, the New York Jets are holding media day at the team facility in Florham Park, and it’s led to some hilarious moments between the players.

Responding to a post about Tyron Smith, Breece Hall said that he is “making him wear a visor” for the 2024 season.

Historically, visors have been reserved for skill position players. A player like LaDainian Tomlinson immediately comes to mind; the Hall-of-Famer has a highlight reel of incredible plays while rocking his iconic pitch-black visor.

Other players at wideout, cornerback, linebacker, and cornerback have made their looks iconic with the visor. It adds flair and a coolness factor that is unmatched in many cases.

While offensive linemen typically do not rock the visor, Smith is one of the few players who could make it look good. Already an imposing presence on the field, a visor could raise the fear in opposing players. Imagine Smith barreling down at a linebacker or pancaking an edge rusher in pass protection.

Without a visor, Smith is already a player defensive players should think twice about. With a visor, Smith could be one of the scariest players in the league to deal with.

Adding a visor doesn’t work for everyone. But in this case, Hall is right for “recommending” that Smith wear a visor. It would only make the sight of Smith clearing lanes for Hall more enjoyable for fans in the 2024 season.
