Appearing on “Up and Adams,” Breece Hall commented on the Davante Adams rumors
Appearing on “Up and Adams,” New York Jets running back Breece Hall was asked about whether he’ll have to compete for touches with current Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. Hall did not hesitate to add fuel to the recent trade rumors surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ former teammate.
Hall answered that he will still touch the ball “the second-most [behind Aaron Rodgers] regardless” but that “Davante, he knows he is going to get his [touches].” When asked whether Adams is a Jet, Hall replied, “You never know. You never know. We’re always talking, we’re always scheming.”

Speaking further on the prospect of bringing Adams to New York, Hall said, “I’m on board… with him, Garrett [Wilson], and then Mike Williams, just pick your poison. Do you want me to beat you, or do you want those three to beat you with Aaron?”
On Friday, Garrett Wilson also chimed in from his football camp, saying that he would be “excited” by the prospect of adding the superstar wideout.
“I’m with all of it. Anyone we can get into the facility to help this team win games, I’m with it, and he’s one of those.”
It’s clear that the Jets’ core offensive players are on board with the prospect of adding Adams. Rodgers has alluded to the prospect of playing with Adams “again” in recent days (although it appeared he was talking about golf), and the star wideout has confirmed as much. Now, Hall and Wilson have expressed their interest in the move.
While not feasible in the present term, the possibility of trading for Adams will significantly increase during the regular season. Adams does not have guaranteed money beyond this season, and the veteran could be the trade deadline acquisition that pushes the team’s offense over the top.
Time will tell how the Jets and Raiders fare in the regular season. If the stars align, the rumblings about the Jets trading for Adams may have a chance to pay off.
