The former New York Jets quarterback envisions his old team landing a new weapon
Add former New York Jets quarterback and current WFAN host Boomer Esiason to the list of people who believe Davante Adams will be traded to New York.
Appearing on his daily “Boomer & Gio” show on WFAN, the former Jets signal-caller said he has heard Adams could be traded within the next month or two.
"I’m hearing that this is gonna happen – if it does happen – in late August or early September"

Esiason said the trade “will happen somewhere in late August or September” in the event that it does occur.
Esiason also discussed why he thinks Adams wants out of the Raiders organization.
“Davante is never going to come out publicly and say, ‘I want to leave the Raiders.’ But, you do hear this in the wide receiver program, ‘I got to get out of here before I get killed.'”
Over Adams’ two seasons with the team, the Raiders have gone 14-20. However, Adams has not publicly said he wants to move on from the Raiders.
The rumors of Adams to the Jets have ramped up over the past few days after Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he “can’t wait” to play with the receiver again (although he was apparently talking about golf). In addition, Jets running back Breece Hall added fuel to the rumors.
Despite playing with five quarterbacks over two seasons with the Raiders, Adams has been a lethal weapon in their offensive system. Adams has recorded 2,660 yards on 203 receptions for 22 touchdowns in his career with the Raiders.
Adams will turn 32 years old in December.
