Are any players on the New York Jets in the running for the best athlete in New York? According to SNY, at least one is.

The list factored in how “a player has performed most recently had the biggest impact on his/her placement on the list, but their entire career in New York was factored in — as was postseason performance.”
SNY spoke about Gardner’s accomplishments in the article as well.
“Gardner had very high expectations put on his shoulders when he was drafted fourth overall in 2022, and since then, all he’s done is win Defensive Rookie of the Year and earn First-Team All-Pro honors twice. Gardner is a true shutdown corner, which can be hard to find in today’s pass-friendly NFL.”
Seeing Gardner rank so high after only two seasons in the NFL is impressive. The cornerback has established himself as one of the best at his position through sheer dominance and high-level production. It has put him in a place to be considered among the likes of Jalen Brunson, Aaron Judge, and Francisco Lindor.
With an important season coming up, Gardner is in a position to elevate his status even higher. With production similar to his first two seasons, the cornerback could stake his claim as the best player in the city.
