Haason Reddick‘s agency has reportedly had enough of his actions in the 2024 season.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Creative Arts Agency (CAA) has dropped the New York Jets edge rusher.

Reddick has yet to report to the team this season as he tries to negotiate a new contract with the team.
Schefter also gave some context on how much Reddick has lost since not reporting to the Jets this offseason.
“Reddick already has missed five games, forfeiting nearly $800,000 per game, totaling over $4 million. On top of this, he has accumulated more than $5 million in NFL-mandated fines.”

It is all but obvious who was and is calling the shots for Reddick’s extended absence from the Jets.
With CAA leaving the fold, Reddick is clearly the one stalemating negotiations with the team at this point. He is unwilling to come off of his reported asking price of $25 million per year, racking up massive fines and a continued absence from the Jets. In an era where a traditional holdout is rarely seen, mainly due to financial implications, Reddick is breaking the norm to an extreme.
SNY’s Connor Hughes said that Reddick made the decision not to report on his own and that it was against the advice of his representation.
The wording of this is critical.
CAA parted with Reddick — not the other way around.
Was told when Reddick’s holdout began that he made the decision not to report to the #Jets himself. It was not advice from his reps. https://t.co/sPtOAojsKs

The Athletic’s Andrew Brandt also gave his thoughts on why CAA would drop Reddick as a client.
“No agent would tell a player to forfeit $800,000 a week in a sport with short careers and no guaranteed contracts. Likely that CAA has told him to report; he has said no, and they said we can’t help you anymore.”

Ironically, Aaron Rodgers was seemingly correct in his statement that Reddick was no longer with his agency. However, it is not for the reason that the Jets, their players, or fans would want to hear.
Reddick’s holdout, especially with no representation to back him now, should not be expected to end anytime soon. He has firmly entrenched himself in his holdout and has not shown any signs of mending the fence with the Jets.
The situation with Reddick and the Jets is extremely unfortunate and felt avoidable at one point. However, Reddick’s actions have made a solution almost impossible in the short or long term.
