Haason Reddick is finally on the field for the New York Jets after one of the lengthiest holdouts in recent NFL history.
As you would expect, Jets fans on social media are voicing their lack of enthusiasm about Reddick’s belated return. That would be the case no matter what, but Reddick’s apparent physical condition is making Jets fans especially critical of the 30-year-old edge rusher.

In a video shared by the team’s official X account, Reddick can be seen walking onto the practice field.
Feel free to form your own opinion, but one thing is for certain: Many Jets fans are not happy with what they saw.
One fan compared Reddick to James Harden.
This is certainly one word that can be used.
Overall, the reviews were far from what one would describe as “rave.”
After parting ways with his previous agency, Reddick hired new agents and quickly agreed to terms with the Jets on a reworked contract. He will receive the remainder of his 2024 base salary of $9 million and can earn an additional $12 million through incentives, which is close to the roughly $12.2 million fines that he accumulated from holding out.
New York’s defense, which ranks a disappointing 21st in defensive DVOA, can use all of the help it can get. Outside of Will McDonald, who leads NFL edge rushers with 8.0 sacks, the Jets have not had another consistently reliable pass rusher. No other player on the team has more than 2.5 sacks.
The Jets hope that Reddick, who ranked fourth in the NFL with 50.5 sacks from 2020-23, can bring their four-man rush back to the heights it reached over the past two seasons.
