Just over two weeks after he was relieved of his duties as the HC of the NYJ, Robert Saleh has been spotted on the sidelines with a different NFL team.
Rob Demovsky, who reports on the Green Bay Packers for ESPN, shared a video of Saleh standing on the sidelines watching the Packers practice in Green Bay.

Demovsky added that reporters expect to hear from Packers head coach Matt LaFleur later on Wednesday, where he will likely comment on whether the team has hired Saleh in some capacity.
Saleh has plenty of ties to Green Bay, starting with the aforementioned LaFleur, who was the best man at Saleh’s wedding. Saleh and LaFleur were roommates while they both worked as graduate assistants for Central Michigan in 2004. The pair of Michigan natives crossed paths again from 2008-09 when they were both assistant coaches for the Houston Texans under head coach Gary Kubiak.
Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley worked under Saleh for two years with the San Francisco 49ers from 2017-18. Saleh was the 49ers’ defensive coordinator, while Hafley was the 49ers’ defensive backs coach. Hafley first came to the 49ers in 2016 under head coach Chip Kelly, but when Kelly was fired after the season, Saleh and new head coach Kyle Shanahan kept Hafley on the staff in the same role.
Even the Packers’ offensive coordinator, Adam Stenavich, crossed paths with Saleh in San Francisco. From 2017-18, Stenavich was the 49ers’ assistant offensive line coach.
Considering his strong ties to the team’s coaching staff, it would not be surprising to see Saleh land a role in Green Bay.
