The Philadelphia Eagles, who won Super Bowl 59, have two former New York Jets, Mekhi Becton and Bryce Huff, both of whom celebrated loudly.

After struggling with the New York Jets for four long years, Mekhi Becton‘s first season away from Florham Park, NJ, yielded him a championship. Congratulations to Super Bowl 59 champion Mount Mekhi.

Well, congratulations to the man … as long as he can hear me.

Becton has boastfully reminded the world that he is, indeed, a Super Bowl champion, doing so on his official X account. One such post featured a laughing GIF of “The Simpsons” shortly after the Philadelphia Eagles 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans.

The post arrived at 10:32 p.m. ET, which means the GIF of Homer, Marge, and Lisa hit the feed just an hour and fifteen minutes after the game ended. Who Becton is laughing at is anybody’s best guess, but such a move is hardly surprising.

Becton, 25, was Joe Douglas’s first-ever draft pick as Jets general manager. Selected No. 11 in the 2020 NFL draft, Becton entered the NFL scene with plenty of raw power and hoopla.

Unfortunately, injuries and conditioning controversy plagued his four-year run in New York. The Jets declined to pick up his fifth-year option, which paved the way for him to sign with the Eagles in last offseason’s free agency period.

The Eagles guard didn’t stop with the Simpsons GIF, as his Super Bowl realization didn’t quite feel real to him initially.

Former Jet and teammate Laken Tomlinson even chimed in with a heartfelt message, which Becton shared and responded to.

Meanwhile, the Eagles’ other former Jet showcased a more traditional approach in the celebration department.

EDGE Bryce Huff live-streamed part of the festivities, and it captured him chugging a beer and smoking a cigar, as referenced by a Zack Rosenblatt screenshot.

Huff also signed with the Eagles last offseason, but he failed to make an impact similar to the one he experienced in 2023 with the Jets. He compiled just 2.5 sacks and 3 tackles for loss in 12 games played (6 games started).

Worse yet, Huff was a healthy inactive for the Super Bowl.

Congratulations to Mekhi Becton and Bryce Huff on finding their way to an organization that continuously excels in the personnel and coaching departments.
