John Simpson to attend New York Jets fan’s wedding(?)

Apparently, New York Jets left guard John Simpson is down to attend a fan's wedding, while Michael Carter II provides solid advice.

Don’t expect Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese sandwiches to be on the menu this night.

New York Jets left guard John Simpson is set to attend a diehard fan’s wedding in several months. Well, at least that’s what he said on his official X account … “if he’s available.”

The fan who’s set to make the biggest mistake of his life tie the knot is Jets Twitter’s own NYJ Matt.

Matt, who has several Jets X-Factor bylines and co-hosts the “Broadway Jets Podcast” with NYJ Mike (found on YouTube and various podcast platforms), rose to another level of prominence after he sent then-visiting free agent Mike Williams a breakfast sandwich.

Whether or not the North Jersey sandwich sealed the deal is still up for debate. What cannot be called into question is the advice Simpson provided the groom-to-be:

The rings would, indeed, be useful to remember. In fact, who better to protect the most important items on this special night than one of the Jets’ big heavies?

Simpson’s teammate, Michael Carter II, also chimed in with some quick words of wisdom:

Regarding the plus-one situation, somebody better let Alijah Vera-Tucker know that something fresh is about to his calendar. If Matt’s bride-to-be had her way, she knows who Simpson’s running mate should be on the big night:

We’re still unsure if AVT will insert himself into the mix here. Perhaps he’s too busy preparing for the 2025 season with new head coach Aaron Glenn. After all, I’ve heard some tremendous things about the program’s ongoing offseason training program.

If it were up to NYJ Matt, choosing between a playoff season or a couple of New York Jets players at his wedding would be easy. Hey, I’d bet his fiance would make the same selection—if only for her own future well-being and sanity.

Why in the world would she ever wish to experience more frustrating and torturous Sundays?
