For the first time in a while, the New York Jets’ offensive line is in nice shape.
With Olu Fashanu, John Simpson, Joe Tippmann, and Alijah Vera-Tucker in place, the Jets are set at four of the five offensive line spots.
But you’ve heard the saying: an offensive line is only as strong as its weakest link. And, right now, the Jets’ weakest link is pretty weak.
New York lacks a reliable option to start at right tackle. Currently, their projected candidates to start on the right side would be Chukwuma Okorafor, Max Mitchell, and Carter Warren.
Not too great.
If the Jets are lucky, though, they may have an opportunity to address this need with the seventh overall pick in the 2025 NFL draft.
Missouri’s Armand Membou has skyrocketed up draft boards over the past few months and is now projected as a potential early first-round pick. Some mocks have him going as early as fourth overall to the New England Patriots. However, the Jets are the consensus favorite to land his services.
At 6-foot-4 and 332 pounds with 4.91 speed, Membou is a physical specimen. But is his film as impressive as his measurables?
Below is Blewett’s Blitz’s full Armand Membou scouting report (strengths and weaknesses) and film review, which features 49 plays.
