It appears that most draft experts and fans already know who the New York Jets are going to take with the seventh overall pick in a week.
It’s not like it should come as a surprise.
Whether it was the latest mock draft from Mel Kiper Jr. and Field Yates or additional comments made across the beat, the Jets appear to be full-steam head for Missouri right tackle Armand Membou.
And Vegas is well aware of it.
Jets’ Overwhelming Favorite
It’s not just top analysts who believe New York will be focusing on the offensive line early in the 2025 draft.
In the most up-to-date odds from DraftKings, Membou is considered the favorite for the selection at this time. The full odds of the top-five favorites for the pick are below:
- OT Amrand Membou: -115
- TE Tyler Warren: +280
- DT Mason Graham: +650
- OT Josh Simmons: +800
- QB Shedeur Sanders: +1000
None of this should be surprising. The Jets are in desperate need of a plug-and-play starter at right tackle that can help stabilize a young offensive line for the first time in years.
The only player seemingly close to Membou is the Penn State product in Warren. New York has a clear need at tight end this draft cycle as well, and Warren could be an instant-impact player. With new quarterback Justin Fields needing a strong pass catcher over the middle of the field, the potential pick of Warren makes a lot of sense.
But when looking at the Jets’ draft outlook, there’s really only one major thing to ask:
Would Jets fans prefer to have a second-round pick competing with Carter Warren, Max Mitchell, and Chukwuma Okorafor in a starting role? Or would they feel better with a first-round talent taking hold of the position early?
Most analysts believe that Membou is the right pick.
DraftKings, and many other betting sites, agree with them all.
