After a disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, the New York Jets must come right back and face off against another playoff team from last year: The Buffalo Bills.

The Jets and Bills face off on Sunday for a classic AFC East showdown. At 0-1, New York is trying to pull off an upset that could potentially kickstart a new era of the organization.

As the week of preparation continues, both teams are going into Week 2 with some injuries to keep an eye on, something that could turn the tide of the contest in either direction.

On New York’s side, three players missed Wednesday’s practice: kick returner Kene Nwangwu, tight end Mason Taylor, and defensive tackle Jay Tufele. Only Taylor was seen working to the side as the team began individual drills.

Offensive tackle Chukwuma Okorafor, Marcelino McCrary-Ball, and Michael Carter II were all listed as limited participants as well.

Buffalo isn’t much better off. The Bills had two of their own starters miss practices. Slot cornerback Taron Johnson missed Wednesday due to a quad injury, and linebacker Shaq Thompson did not participate due to a hamstring concern.

Other players like Dawson Knox, James Cook, and Gregory Rousseau were limited participants in practice, but there is little concern about any of them suiting up for Sunday.
