The New York Jets are open for business. First, All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner was traded to the Indianapolis Colts for two first-round picks and wide receiver AD Mitchell.
Now, it’s Quinnen Williams‘ turn.
The All-Pro defensive tackle was traded to the Dallas Cowboys for a first-round draft pick in 2026 and additional compensation to be named later, as first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Williams, the former third-overall pick in the 2019 draft, was an All-Pro in 2022. A three-time Pro Bowler, Williams recorded 40.5 sacks in seven years with the team. During his time with the team, the organization never won more than seven games in a single year.
The trades of Williams and Gardner are further signs that the Jets are transforming their entire roster on the fly.
And now add another first-round pick to the 2026 draft haul.
This is a developing story. Stay tuned for further updates.
