Eight games into the 2025 season, one of the most promising developments for the New York Jets has been the emergence of rookie tackle Armand Membou.
Selected No. 7 overall in April’s NFL draft, the Missouri product has lived up to expectations, quickly establishing himself as a cornerstone presence for the offensive line.
That impact hasn’t gone unnoticed in the locker room.
Speaking with reporters Monday, second-year lineman Joe Tippmann praised Membou’s poise and maturity, crediting the rookie for how quickly he’s adapted to the NFL level.
“As a rookie right tackle, just him being able to go out there and get his job done the way he has, I have been very impressed with the way he has handled himself as a rookie through OTAs, training camp, and now into the season,” said Tippmann.
Tippmann extended his praise to include the Jets’ entire 2025 rookie class, the first selected by general manager Darren Mougey.
“I have just been impressed with the whole class, they are doing an awesome job, being able to hop in there and start contributing. I am excited for the young guys on this team.”
Membou’s stellar 75.2 run-blocking grade from Pro Football Focus this season ranks 10th-best among NFL tackles (min. 300 offensive snaps).
The 21-year-old has been everything the Jets could have asked for and more. His physicality and consistency on the right side have played a significant role in Breece Hall’s resurgence on the ground, helping open lanes and set the tone up front. For a young rookie, his impact has been undeniable.
