It’s safe to say that Aaron Rodgers does not think too fondly of his two-year stint with the New York Jets.

Speaking to the media following the Pittsburgh Steelers’ season-ending 30-6 wild card loss to the Houston Texans, Rodgers made sure to sneak in another subtle jab at his former team, the latest in a long line of them over the course of the 2025 season.

“Thereโ€™s only a few very special places in the league that have the tradition, the town, the organization, and I’m thankful to have played for two of them,” Rodgers said, following Monday night’s defeat.

While Rodgers did not mention the Jets by name, it’s fair to assume that he is talking about the Steelers and the Packers here.

This comment comes only four days after Rodgers criticized the Jets for having “leaks in the boat” during his time there, calling Pittsburgh “the antithesis” of the Jets in that regard.

The 42-year-old quarterback struggled mightily in Pittsburgh’s one-and-done playoff appearance. Against the Texans’ top-flight defense, Rodgers completed 17 of 33 passes for 146 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception, while taking four sacks for 36 yards. The Steelers failed to score a touchdown.

Rodgers posted a 50.8 passer rating and a 14.3 QBR in the loss. It caps off a season of comfortably below-average production from the aging legend. In the regular season, Rodgers ranked 29th out of 38 qualified quarterbacks in QBR (44.1). He also placed 23rd in adjusted EPA per play and 28th in PFF’s overall grade.

As much as Rodgers doesn’t miss the Jets, it sure doesn’t seem like the Jets miss him, either.
