The New York Jets needed help at guard after losing John Simpson and Alijah Vera-Tucker in free agency.
They moved quickly. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Jets have agreed to terms with former Las Vegas Raiders left guard Dylan Parham on a two-year deal worth up to $20 million.
Parham, 26, was chosen by the Raiders as a third-round pick out of Memphis in the 2022 NFL draft.
The Georgia native started 63 of his 64 appearances for Las Vegas across four seasons. He made starts at all three interior positions, primarily playing left guard (2,591 snaps) while also getting action at right guard (992 snaps) and center (219 snaps).
Parham played all of his snaps at left guard this past season, making him an ideal fit to slide into the vacancy left by John Simpson, who left New York for Baltimore in free agency.
Over his first three NFL seasons, Parham gradually progressed on his way to a breakout year in 2024, which saw him rank as Pro Football Focus’ 10th-best qualified right guard with a 74.3 overall grade. He was particularly strong in the run game, placing eighth among right guards with a 75.6 grade, one spot behind Alijah Vera-Tucker.
Parham took a slight step back in 2025 with a switch back to left guard, but he was still a quality starter, placing 14th among qualified left guards with a 63.6 overall grade at PFF. That was enough to make him the highest-graded Raiders offensive lineman among those who played at least 500 snaps, showing that he managed to stand out amidst a horrid situation in Las Vegas.
As of now, the Jets’ starting offensive line is penciled in from left to right as follows: Olu Fashanu, Dylan Parham, Josh Myers, Joe Tippmann, and Armand Membou.
Four of those spots seem rather secure, but the Jets could still add competition for Myers at center.
For now, the Jets have added a young, quality starting left guard for a fair price, reducing their desperation to fill the hole in the draft.
