The New York Jets’ offensive line was one of the few positives from a disastrous 2025 season.

The unit’s continuity was its most notable trait. The same five starters took the field for all 17 games.

Going into 2026, the Jets have only made one change to the group that played a full season together. That change has come at the left guard spot.

John Simpson, who started at left guard for New York for the last two seasons, bolted to the Baltimore Ravens in free agency. To replace him, the Jets signed former Las Vegas Raiders left guard Dylan Parham to a two-year, $16 million deal.

The Jets’ choice to sign the 26-year-old has drawn polarizing reviews. Our own Michael Nania believes he can be the team’s best steal of the offseason, but he was also named the team’s worst offseason move by ESPN.

A 2022 third-round pick of the Raiders, Parham started 63 games in Las Vegas over the past four seasons. After a shaky first couple of seasons, he ranked as an above-average right guard in the 2024 season. Las Vegas moved him to left guard in 2025, and while his numbers declined, he still ranked as a top-half starter at the position.

Forget the numbers, though. What does the film say? Is Parham an upgrade at left guard for the Jets? Or did the team overpay him?

In the latest edition of Blewett’s Blitz, we learn everything there is to know about Parham’s game in a full-fledged breakdown of his All-22 film.

Below is the full Dylan Parham’s film review and scouting report (strengths and weaknesses).
