With the 2026 preseason underway, plenty of former New York Jets players have made their “debuts” with new teams across the NFL.

Here are a few notable former Jets who have made their first appearances in new jerseys after leaving the team this offseason.

Micheal Clemons, Colts

New York’s former much-maligned, penalty-prone defensive end does not seem to be off to the best start in Indianapolis.

To the surprise of many Jets fans, Clemons signed a three-year, $17 million deal with the Colts in free agency, a heftier price than his low-level play in New York would seem to justify.

However, Clemons is listed as a backup on the Colts’ unofficial depth chart, and he was deployed as such in the preseason opener. Clemons played 30 snaps in a game where the Colts’ defensive starters did not appear. He struggled to make an impression, recording just one tackle and one pressure against the Patriots’ backup offensive linemen.

Jermaine Johnson, Titans

The Jets’ former first-round edge rusher got the start for a Tennessee defense that indeed played its starters. It was an up-and-down appearance over 14 snaps, as he logged one pressure and one tackle for loss, but was also credited with two missed tackles.

New York swapped Johnson for defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat, who has yet to suit up in training camp as he remains on the NFI list with a hamstring injury.

Tony Adams, Titans

Listed as a backup safety in Tennessee, former Jets starter Tony Adams played 18 snaps in the preseason opener, recording no statistics.

Isaiah Oliver, Cardinals

Formerly a backup safety/cornerback for the Jets (starting 9 of his 31 appearances across two seasons in New York), Isaiah Oliver is now fighting for a roster spot in Arizona.

Oliver has already logged 90 snaps across two preseason games (Arizona played in the Hall of Fame Game). Rotating between the box and free safety, Oliver has collected nine tackles, but he has allowed 5-of-5 passing for 63 yards on throws into his coverage.

Tyrod Taylor, Packers

Serving as the backup to Jordan Love, Taylor relieved Love in the second quarter of Green Bay’s preseason opener in Pittsburgh.

New York’s former backup quarterback completed 4 of 8 passes for just 21 yards, throwing no touchdowns or interceptions. He rushed once for 4 yards and was not sacked.
