The New York Jets could be without one of their top offensive playmakers in Week 4.

According to a report from Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter, Hall is considered week-to-week with the quad injury that he suffered in New York’s Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Rapoport shared that Hall’s MRI revealed “good news”, as the injury is not as significant as initially feared.

Hall went down after a run to the sidelines in the fourth quarter and did not return. Braelon Allen replaced him the rest of the way.

After his first career 1,000-yard rushing season in 2025, it’s been a slow start on the ground for Hall in 2026. Through three games, he has carried the ball 51 times for 163 yards and one touchdown.

It isn’t for a lack of involvement; Hall’s 17.0 carries per game are on track to be a career high. The problem is his efficiency, as he is averaging a career-low 3.2 yards per carry.

Hall has made up for it in the receiving game, catching all 10 of his targets for 102 yards. Overall, Hall is averaging 88.3 scrimmage yards per game, just a hair behind his career average (89.9).

The lowly rushing efficiency is certainly not all Hall’s fault. He’s been dealing with some brutal run-blocking over the last two weeks. Across the Jets’ two-game losing streak from Weeks 2-3, Hall had just 15 yards before contact on 29 carries, per Pro Football Focus, a measly 0.52 yards before contact per carry.

If Hall is absent for the Jets’ Week 4 road game against the Chicago Bears, Braelon Allen is expected to step up as the starter, while Isaiah Davis is the next man up on the depth chart. The only other running back on the roster is Kene Nwangwu, who has yet to play this year due to a back injury.
