Zach Wilson and the New York Jets passing attack came alive in the second padded practice

The New York Jets‘ first padded practice of training camp belonged to the defense. But on Tuesday, Zach Wilson and the Jets offense sprung to life during a day of practice that featured a much steadier balance between the offense and the defense.

Wilson and his top wideouts each recorded some impressive plays. Here, Joe Flacco hits Elijah Moore for a back-shoulder throw on a slot fade against Michael Carter II. Moore snatches it with one hand.

Next, Zach Wilson hits Garrett Wilson on a dig route from the left side, which is part of a Hi-Lo concept with the underneath hitch route (a combination that Mike LaFleur loves to utilize).

Braxton Berrios got in on the action. Berrios goes in pre-snap motion from left to right and runs a wheel route, going uncovered. Wilson rolls out to his right and floats one up for Berrios, placing it in a good spot along the sideline.

Head coach Robert Saleh was a fan of Wilson’s work in practice on Tuesday, labeling his effort as “pretty clean”.

Breece Hall had himself a nice day as well. Hall breaks free for a productive chunk of yardage on this play, led by Mekhi Becton‘s road-grading block on Nathan Shepherd.

The offseason is moving at a feverish pace. Only 10 days remain until the Jets head down Interstate 95 to take on the Philadelphia Eagles for their preseason opener (Friday, Aug. 12, 7:30 p.m. ET).
