Reviewing the film (both good and bad) from New York Jets’ narrow 31-30 victory over Cleveland Browns

Entering Week 2, New York Jets fans were in a familiar situation: winless after Week 1.

The Jets’ Week 1 loss to Baltimore made their Week 2 trip to Cleveland all the more important, as NFL teams rarely make it to the playoffs after starting their season winless through two weeks.

Also, Jets fans considered this game to be one of the “easier” matchups on the team’s schedule until its bye week, as they face a murderer’s row through the first nine weeks of the season.

The full, member-only Jets-Browns film breakdown (2:47:00 in length) can be found at the bottom of this article (must be a Jets X-Factor member and logged into the site).

Backup quarterback aside, the Browns boasted a stacked roster, especially in areas where the Jets have struggled to combat.

Cleveland’s roster features one of the better edge rush duos in the NFL with Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney. They were set to match up against a Jets offensive line that struggled mightily in Week 1 against the Ravens, who do not have a rush pair nearly as fierce.

The Browns also have one of the better rush games in the NFL, both because of a stacked offensive line and the league’s best 1-2 punch at running back with Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt.

The Jets were able to overcome all of it, though – in miracle fashion. Trailing 30-17 with only 1:55 left on the clock and possessing no timeouts, Robert Saleh’s squad was able to do the impossible.

Statistically, the Jets’ chances of winning the game were less than 0.1%.

Aided by an incredible drive by Joe (cool) Flacco and some amazing special teams play, the Jets narrowly escaped with a 31-30 victory, leaving the Browns speechless.
