Breece Hall cannot help but be amused by PFF’s latest rookie RB grades

Although New York Jets stud Breece Hall is on the season-ending shelf with a knee injury, he’s still living his football life. This means he cannot help but notice much of the analyzing in the NFL world.

This brings us to a recent Hall tweet that features an “amused” Jets player when reacting to PFF’s latest rookie running back grades.

Per PFF, Washington Commanders’ third-round pick Brian Robinson Jr. is the highest-graded rookie running back with an 83.0 grade. Houston Texans’ rookie Dameon Pierce is second at 79.4, while Atlanta Falcons back Tyler Allgeier comes in at third with a 76.4 mark.

Hall, on the other hand, is currently ranked sixth with a 69.8 grade.

Hall, 21, is widely considered, far and away, the best rookie running back in the NFL—and this was the case several weeks ago when he went down with a season-ending knee injury. In just seven games, the Jets second-round stud tallied 463 yards and four touchdowns on just 80 carries, materializing in a sparkling 5.8 yards-per-carry mark.

It would be understandable if Hall didn’t grade out at the top due to other metrics falling short—such as pass pro or receiving abilities—but the kid’s pure rushing grade isn’t even at the top. His 76.4 rushing grade places him fifth on the list, behind Robinson, Pierce, Allgeier and Kenneth Walker III.

Many Jets fans have been puzzled by PFF’s grading this season, especially that of Sauce Gardner’s questionable marks at times. Add Breece Hall to the puzzled list, as his laughing emoji reveals all emotion at this time.

While Breece Hall rehabs his way back from the disappointing knee injury sustained in Denver, his New York Jets prep for Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings on the road in Week 13 action.
